An Elevated New York Loft — Where Industrial Grit Meets Classic Refinement

Perched atop a contemporary skyscraper in Manhattan, this loft reinterprets the spirit of the iconic New York loft with a fresh, architectural lens. Inspired by the city’s artistic legacy and raw industrial charm, we crafted a space that balances brutalist honesty with understated elegance.

This 150 sqm loft embraces the open plan as a core design principle, enhancing the visual and spatial flow across the entire apartment. Floor-to-ceiling black steel windows frame breathtaking views of the skyline, immersing the space in natural light while preserving a sense of intimacy and retreat.

The use of exposed concrete—both in the structure and flooring—anchors the design in material authenticity, evoking the character of downtown artist studios and warehouses.

To temper the rawness of concrete and steel, we introduced soft contrasts: rich wooden accents, sculptural furniture, and timeless textiles. These elements bring warmth and tactility, while reinforcing the architectural clarity of the design.
